Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The NSE Nifty and BSE Sensex closed at all-time highs after touching new highs intraday, extending gains for the eighth session in a row. For the seventh consecutive session, the BSE Sensex reached a record high of 63,583 before closing at 63,284. The NSE Nifty also reached a new high of 18,874, finishing 12 points above the 18,800 mark. Bank Nifty also set an intraday high of 43,515 before closing at 43,353. The broader indices finished in the green, with the Nifty Midcap index up 0.83% and the Nifty Smallcap index up 0.61%. The Nifty IT index rose 2.42%, led by TechM, Coforge, and L&T Technology Services.
Top Nifty gainers, losers
UltraTech Cement, Hindalco, Tata Steel, Grasim and TCS were the top gainers of the day on the NSE Nifty 50 index. ICICI Bank, UPL, Cipla, Eicher Motors and Bajaj Auto were the laggards.
