Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished the day in the red, owing to unfavorable global cues. The NSE Nifty 50 down 26.45 points, or 0.13%, to 19,570.85, while the BSE Sensex fell 106.98 points, or 0.16%, to 65,846.50. Bank Nifty climbed 126.95 points or 0.28% to 44,964.45, Nifty IT gained 0.15%, Nifty PSU Bank gained 3.37%, Nifty Pharma gained 0.64%, but Nifty Auto lost 0.31%, Nifty FMCG fell 0.28%, Nifty Metal declined 1.17%, and Nifty Realty fell 0.18%. SBI Life, Hero MotoCorp, Cipla, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Adani Enterprises, Hindalco, Mahindra & Mahindra, Divis Lab, and JSW Steel were the top losers.
Oil prices rose in early trade on Tuesday as supply concerns arising from production cuts by Saudi Arabia and Russia supported the market.
The US market ended Monday’s session in green – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) jumped 1.16%, S&P 500 soared 0.90% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq zoomed 0.61%.
Asian markets trade in red
Asian markets were trading mostly in red – China’s Shanghai Composite Index tumbled 0.66%, Asia Dow plunged 0.77%, South Korea’s KOSPI fell 0.25% and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng tanked 1.88% while Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 0.11%.
