Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished the week’s last trading session slightly down. The NSE Nifty 50 down 13.85 points, or 0.07%, to 19,646.05, while the BSE Sensex fell 106.62 points, or 0.16%, to 66,160.20. Bank Nifty down 211.20 points or 0.46% to 45,468.10, Nifty Auto fell 0.22%, Nifty Financial Services fell 0.41%, and Nifty IT fell 0.86%, while Nifty FMCG increased 0.88%, Nifty Metal rose 0.90%, and Nifty Realty rose 1.83%. NTPC, Power Grid, Apollo Hospitals, Adani Ports, and Mahindra & Mahindra were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, BPCL, TCS, and HCL Tech were the top losers.
The US indices ended the overnight session in negative territory – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) plunged 0.67%, S&P 500 tanked 0.64% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq tumbled 0.55%.
Asian markets were trading in red – China’s Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.23%, South Korea’s KOSPI dipped 0.27%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng tumbled 1%, Asia Dow sank 0.61% and Japan’s Nikkei 225 tanked 1.21%.
