Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: The major equity indices finished the week’s last trading session in the green. The NSE Nifty 50 rose 97.35 points, or 0.51%, to 19,230.60, while the BSE Sensex rose 282.88 points to 64,363.78. The major indices finished higher, with smallcap companies leading the way. The Bank Nifty rose 301.05 points, or 0.70%, to 43,318.25. Among the other sectors indices, Realty stocks gained 2.54%, while Consumer Durables and Media companies gained more than 1% apiece. The top gainers on the NSE Nifty 50 were Apollo Hospital, Adani Ports, Eicher Motors, Titan Company, and LTIMindtree, while the laggards were Bajaj Finserve, SBI Life Insurance Company, Dr Reddy’s Labs, and IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Finance. The volatility index (India Vix) ended down 1.73%.

Wall Street’s three main stock indices rallied nearly 2% on Thursday on hopes that the US Federal Reserve has reached the end of its interest rate hiking campaign and a batch of upbeat quarterly financial updates added to the bullish mood, reported Reuters.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite soared 232.72 points or 1.78% at 13,294.19. The S&P 500 climbed 79.92 points or 1.89% at 4,317.78, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 564.5 points or 1.7% to 33,839.08.
