Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished the turbulent day on Thursday in the red. Toward the close of the day, Bank Nifty fell 400 points to a day low of 43,706.15, while the NSE Nifty 50 fell to an intraday low of 18,464.55. The NSE Nifty 50 down 46.65 points, or 0.25%, to 18,487.75, while the BSE Sensex fell 193.70 points, or 0.31%, to 62,428.54. Bank Nifty declined 337.95 points, or 0.77%, to 43,790.20, while Nifty Financial Service gained 0.63%, Nifty Pharma gained 1.06%, Nifty PSU Bank gained 0.59%, and Nifty Realty gained 0.98%. Apollo Hospitals, Divis Lab, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors, and Hero Motocorp were the top gainers on the Nifty 50, while Coal India, Kotak Bank,Bharti Airtel, SBI Life and HDFC Life were the top losers.
US indices end in red
The US market ended the overnight session in red – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell 0.41%, S&P 500 tumbled 0.61% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq plunged 0.63%.
Asian markets trade mixed
Asian markets were trading mixed – Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 0.5%, Asia Dow jumped 1.12%, Japan’s Nikkei 225 advanced 0.22%, China’s Shanghai Composite index fell 0.17% and South Korea’s KOSPI fell 0.3%.
