Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices finished Thursday’s trading session in the red. The Nifty 50 fell 48.20 points, or 0.25%, to 19,395.30, while the BSE Sensex down 143.41 points to 64,832.20. The broader indices finished mostly in the red, with Nifty Next 50 and Smallcap stocks leading the way. The Bank Nifty index rose 24.95 points, or 0.06%, to 43,683.60. Among the major sectors indexes, FMCG and Oil & Gas stocks led the losses, while Realty and Auto stocks recorded gains. The biggest gainers on the NSE Nifty 50 were Mahindra & Mahindra, Apollo Hospitals, Coal India, Power Grid, and IndusInd Bank, while the laggards were Adani Enterprises, Hindustan Unilever, Adani Ports, and TATA Consumer Products and ONGC. The volatility index (India Vix) ended down 0.49%.
