Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The main equity indices finished Tuesday’s trading session unchanged. The NSE Nifty 50 down 5.05 points, or 0.03%, to 19,406.70, while the BSE Sensex fell 16.29 points, or 0.03%, to 64,942.40. The broader indices finished mostly in the green, with Nifty Next 50 and Smallcap stocks leading the way. The Bank Nifty rose 118.50 points, or 0.27%, to 43,737.90. Among the other sectoral indices, Pharma, Healthcare, Oil & Gas, and PSU Bank stocks led the advances, while Realty, Media, Consumer Durables, and Auto stocks saw corrections. Sun Pharma, BPCL, NTPC, Dr Reddy’s Labs, and IndusInd Bank were the biggest gainers on the NSE Nifty 50, while Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj Finance, JSW Steel, Divi’s Lab, and Reliance Industries were the laggards. The volatility index (India Vix) ended up 0.78%.
Foreign institutional investors (FII) offloaded shares worth net Rs 549.37 crore, while domestic institutional investors (DII) added shares worth net Rs 595.70 crore on November 6, 2023, according to the provisional data available on the NSE.
WTI crude prices are trading at $80.56 down 0.35%, while Brent crude prices are trading at $84.89 down 0.34%, on Tuesday morning.
