Share Market Highlights: Sensex closes 427 pts higher, Nifty ends at 16132

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: On Thursday’s weekly futures and options expiry session, domestic headline indices were firmly in the hands of bulls. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 427 points, or 0.80 percent, to close at 54,178, while the NSE Nifty 50 index rose 143 points, or 0.89 percent, to 16,132. The Bank Nifty rose 1.74 percent, while the India VIX fell 5.28 percent, giving up 20 levels. Titan was the top gainer among stocks, finishing 5.88 percent higher, followed by Tata Steel, L&T, and IndusInd Bank. Dr Reddy’s was the worst performer, falling 1.3 percent, followed by Nestle India and Bharti Airtel.
