Share Market Highlights: Sensex closes at 59 pts , Nifty 50 ends at 17558

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic benchmark indices traded in the green for the majority of the day but trimmed gains in the final minutes to close flat with a positive bias. The S&P BSE Sensex rose 59.1 points, or 0.10%, to 58,833. The NSE Nifty 50 performed slightly better, gaining 36 points or 0.21% to close at 17,558. The Bank Nifty closed 0.09% higher at 38,987, while the India VIX fell 6.9% to close at 18.22. The Sensex and Nifty were down for the week. Titan, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and Power Grid were the top Sensex gainers, each up 2.86%. The worst performing stock on the Sensex was IndusInd Bank, which fell 1.66%. Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, and HDFC were the other laggards.
