Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished Tuesday’s session unchanged. The NSE Nifty 50 gained 8.25 points, or 0.04%, to settle at 19,680.60, while the BSE Sensex fell 29.07 points, or 0.04%, to 66,355.71. Bank Nifty declined 78.05 points or 0.17% to 45,845, Nifty FMCG down 0.86%, and Nifty PSU Bank sank 1.46%, while Nifty Auto rose 0.95%, Nifty Metal rose 2.94%, and Nifty Pharma gained 0.36%. Hindalco, JSW Steel, Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement, and NTPC were the biggest gainers on the Nifty 50, while Asian Paints, ITC, Larsen & Toubro, Britannia, and Kotak Bank were the top losers.
The US indices ended the overnight session in green – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) jumped 0.52%, S&P 500 gained 0.4% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq rose 0.19%.
Asian markets were trading mostly in green – China’s Shanghai Composite Index jumped 1.45%, South Korea’s KOSPI gained 0.17%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng surged 3% and Asia Dow rose 0.72% while Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell 0.27%.
