Share Market Highlights: Sensex ends 111 pts lower, Nifty closes at 15752

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: On Friday, the Sensex fell 111 points, or 0.21 percent, to 52,907, while the NSE Nifty 50 index fell 28.20 points, or 0.18 percent, to 15,752.

Benchmark indices staged a strong comeback in the final hours of trading, even turning positive just minutes before closing in the red. The Bank Nifty gained 0.34 percent, while the India VIX fell 2.7 percent but remained above 21.

The top Sensex laggard was Reliance Industries, which fell 7.14 percent, followed by Power Grid and Bajaj Auto. However, Bajaj Finance was the top gainer, rising 3.84 percent. Other winners included ITC, Bajaj Finserv, and Asian Paints.
