Share Market highlights: Sensex ends 428 pts higher, Nifty ends above 16450

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Benchmarks for the domestic equity market The BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 ended the weekly Futures & Options expiry session with gains, snapping a losing streak.

The volatility index, India VIX, closed 3.53 % lower, just above 19 levels. The Bank Nifty was up, and the broader markets followed suit. Reliance Industries was the top gainer on the Sensex, up 2.6 %, followed by Dr Reddy’s, Bajaj Auto, and Bharti Airtel. Tata Steel fell 3.84 percent to finish as the Sensex’s worst-performing stock, followed by Ultratech Cement and NTPC.
