While the BSE Sensex closed at 59,202.90, up 95.71 points or 0.16%, the NSE Nifty closed at 17,564.00, up 51.70 points or 0.30%. Information Technology, Metal, PSU Bank, Power, and Oil & Gas all gained 1%. The BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended flat in the broader markets. The top Nifty gainers included UPL, Adani Enterprises, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, and Adani Ports, while the top losers included IndusInd Bank, Asian Paints, Apollo Hospitals, UltraTech Cement, and HDFC Bank.
