The benchmark equity indices, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty50, finished Tuesday’s turbulent session flat. The Sensex finished at 81,510.05, up 1.59 points. The index traded between 81,726.34 and 81,182.69.
Similarly, on the NSE, the Nifty50 finished at 24,610.05, down 8.95 points, or 0.05 percent, from its previous close of Tuesday. The Nifty50 reached a high of 24,677.80, while the low was around 24,510.65.
27 of the Nifty50’s 50 member stocks closed in the red, led by Dr Reddy’s Labs, Adani Enterprises, Adani Ports, Bharti Airtel, and HDFC Life, which lost up to 1.40 percent. Among other Adani Group equities, Adani Green Energy closed down by 3.45%, followed by Adani Power (down 2 per cent), Adani Total Gas (down 1.85 per cent), and Adani Wilmar (down 1.41 per cent).

Meanwhile, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finserv, Wipro, HCL Tech, and Infosys were among the 23 Nifty50 constituent stocks that closed higher, with gains of up to 2.48 percent.
In the broader market, the Nifty Midcap100 and Nifty Smallcap100 indices finished up 0.23 percent and 0.28 percent, respectively.
Except for Nifty Media, Auto, Pharma, and OMCs, all sectoral indices closed higher. Notably, the Nifty Realty index outpaced other sectoral indexes, rising 1.43 percent, boosted by increases in Raymond and Phoenix Mills.
