Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: In the highly volatile session, Indian benchmark indices erased the majority of their intraday gains and finished flat.
While the BSE Sensex ended the day 33.20 points or 0.06 percent higher at 55,702.23, the NSE Nifty 50 ended the day 5.10 points or 0.03 percent higher at 16,682.70.
Power, capital goods, and information technology indices all rose 1-2 percent. However, the real estate, FMCG, and pharmaceutical indices all fell 0.5-1.5 percent. The BSE midcap and smallcap indices ended marginally lower in broader markets.
Among the top Nifty losers were IndusInd Bank, Tata Consumer Products, Britannia Industries, UltraTech Cement, and Nestle India, while the top gainers were Tech Mahindra, Hero MotoCorp, Infosys, HCL Technology, and Wipro.
