Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices HIGHLIGHTS: Benchmarks for the domestic equity market today, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 ended the volatile session in the red.
The BSE Sensex fell 135 points, or 0.3%, to 51,360, while the NSE Nifty 50 fell 0.4%, or 67 points, to 15,293. Titan Company fell 6%, followed by Wipro, Dr Reddy’s, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints, L&T, and Power Grid Corporation of India.
On the other hand, Bajaj Finance was the top S&P BSE Sensex gainer, rising 3%. It was followed by companies such as Bajaj Finserv, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, ITC, Tata Steel, State Bank of India, and Kotak Mahindra Bank.
The majority of the Nifty sectoral indices finished in the red. Nifty Auto was down 1.2%, Nifty FMCG was down 1%, Nifty IT was down 1.5%, and Nifty Pharma was down 2.2%. While the Nifty Bank gained 0.4 %.
