Share Market Highlights: Sensex falls 1,400 points, Nifty ends below 15,900

Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: Amid escalating geopolitical tensions, rising crude oil prices, on Monday Indian benchmark indices ended deep in the red.

Sensex ended at 52,843, down 1,491 points or 2.74 per cent. The Nifty 50 index touched an intra-day low of 15,711 before settling at 15,863, down 382 points or 2.35 per cent.

Sectorally, metal index gained over 2 percent, while auto, bank, capital goods, FMCG, PSU Bank and realty fell 2-5 per cent. In broader markets, BSE midcap and smallcap indices shed over 2 per cent each.
