Share Market Highlights: Sensex gains 465 pts, Nifty ends above 17,500

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: On Monday, Indian equity markets finished higher, boosted by index heavyweights such as Reliance Industries, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, and Maruti Suzuki.

The BSE Sensex closed 465 points, or 0.80%, higher at 58,853, while the NSE Nifty 50 closed 127 points, or 0.73 percent higher at 17,525. The Indian rupee fell 19 paise to 79.65 per dollar, down from 79.24 on Friday.

The BSE MidCap and SmallCap indices gained 0.3 percent each in the broader markets.

The Nifty PSU Bank index fell 0.4 percent, followed by the Nifty IT index (down 0.02 percent ). All other indices increased.
