Share Market Highlights: Sensex jumped 632 pts, Nifty settle at 16,352

For the second day in a row, the Bulls maintained control of Dalal Street and comfortably ended the day with gains.

The S&P BSE Sensex finished the day up 632 points, or 1.17 percent, at 54,884, while the NSE Nifty 50 index closed at 16,352, up 182 points, or 1.13 percent.

Tech Mahindra led the Sensex gainers, followed by IndusInd Bank, Infosys, and Bajaj Finance. The worst performer on the Sensex was NTPC, which fell 2.92 percent, followed by Power Grid, Bharti Airtel, and Tata Steel.

Bank Nifty broke through 35,600, while India VIX fell 5.46 percent to below 22.
