Share Market Highlights: Sensex jumps 578 pts, Nifty ends above 17,800

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic equity market benchmarks the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 finished lower from their respective day’s highs, but ended 1% higher on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex rose 579 points, or 1%, to 59720, while the NSE Nifty 50 closed at 17816, up 194 points, or 1.1%. Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy’s, IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel, Titan Company, Bajaj Finserv, ICICI Bank, Asian Paints, HCL Tech, and Axis Bank were among the top gainers on the BSE Sensex. On the other hand, the top index laggards were Nestle India, Power Grid Corporation of India, Infosys, and Reliance. The Bank Nifty gained 1.4% to close at 41,468.
