On Tuesday, Indian benchmark indices finished higher for the second consecutive session, with the Nifty closing above 15,600. The Sensex closed up 934.23 points, or 1.81 percent, at 52,532.07, while the Nifty gained 288.60 points, or 1.88 percent, at 15,638.80.
All sectoral indices finished in the green, with IT, metal, oil & gas, power, realty, and PSU banks all up 3-6%. The BSE Midcap index increased by 2.4%, while the Smallcap index increased by 3%.
While the overall market setup remains ‘Sell on Rise,’ analysts believe that intermittent bouts of relief rally are not out of the question. The immediate support and resistance levels for the Nifty50 are 15,400 and 15,800.
