Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices HIGHLIGHTS:
Today BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 ended in the positive territory for the second straight day, a day before weekly F&O expiry.
BSE Sensex ended 1223 points or 2.3 per cent higher at 54,647.33, while NSE Nifty 50 index ended 332 points or 2.07 per cent up at 16,345, defying Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Asian Paints, Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), and Bajaj Finance were among top Sensex leaders, gaining over 5%, followed by Mahindra & Mahindra, and IndusInd Bank which gained up to 5 per cent.
On the flip side, Power Grid Corporation of India, NTPC, Tata Steel, and Nestle India, among others ended in the red. Bank Nifty surged 2 per cent to finish trade at 33815. Nifty Media index rallied over 4 per cent, and Nifty Realty jumped over 3 per cent.
