Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Stock Prices Highlights: Domestic benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty 50 ended Thursday’s session flat. Alongside a surge in US markets, and a decline in crude oil prices, the benchmark equity indices witnessed gains in early trading. The NSE Nifty 50 finished down 9.85 points or 0.05% to 19,802.00, while the BSE Sensex finished flat, down 5.43 points or 0.01% to 66,017.81. The broader indices finished mostly in positive territory, with Smallcap and Midcap stocks leading the way. The Bank Nifty index rose 127.90 points, or 0.29%, to 43,577.50. Among the other sectoral indices, Oil & Gas and Metals climbed, while Pharma and Healthcare fell. The biggest gainers on the NSE Nifty 50 were Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, BPCL, IndusInd Bank, and Eicher Motors, while the losers included Cipla, Ultra Tech Cement, and SBI Life Insurance, LTI Mindtree, and Larsen & Tourbo. The Indian Volatility Index (India VIX) closed down by 4.63 %.
