Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices ended Friday’s trading session in the positive territory. The BSE Sensex gained barely 20.58 points, or 0.03%, to close at 74,248.22, while the NSE Nifty 50 finished 0.95 points lower at 22,513.65. The large-cap and small-cap equities led the gains on the broader indices, which concluded in mixed territory. At 48,493.05., the Bank Nifty index concluded with a gain of 432.25 points, or 0.90%. Among the other sectors indices, equities in banks and real estate performed better than those in IT and media.
The NSE Nifty 50 ended 0.95 points lower to settle at 22,513.65, while the BSE Sensex gained just 0.03% to 74,248.22.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), gauging the dollar’s strength against a selection of six major foreign currencies, experienced a marginal decline of 0.08%, reaching 104.17.
Stocks on Wall Street closed lower as concerns emerged that the Federal Reserve could delay an interest rate cut. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 530.16 points, or 1.35%, ending the session at 38,596.98. The S&P 500 decreased by 1.23%, closing at 5,147.21. Similarly, the Nasdaq Composite retreated by 1.40%, finishing at 16,049.08.
