On Friday, Indian benchmark indices traded within a narrow range, tracking positive global cues. The S&P BSE Sensex finished 462 points higher, or 0.88 percent higher, at 52,728.
Meanwhile, Nifty50 closed at 15,699, up 143 points or 0.92 percent. Auto, banking, and consumer goods stocks were all in the spotlight as commodity prices fell, easing input cost and credit offtake pressures.

Meanwhile, the Nifty MidCap and SmallCap indices gained 1.4% and 1.76%, respectively, in the broader market.
