Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: Domestic indices finished the monthly F&O expiry session in the negative. The NSE Nifty 50 down 118.40 points, or 0.60%, to 19,659.90, while the BSE Sensex fell 440.38 points, or 0.66%, to 66,266.82. Bank Nifty declined 383.05 points or 0.83% to 45,679.30, Nifty Auto down 1.21%, and Nifty IT fell 0.19%, but Nifty Pharma gained 3.05%, Nifty Realty gained 2.12%, and Nifty Healthcare Index gained 2.65%. Cipla, Sun Pharma, Divis Lab, Hero Motocorp, and Apollo Hospitals were the biggest gainers on the Nifty 50, while Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Tata Consumer Products, Britannia, and Nestle India were the top losers.
The US indices ended the overnight session mixed after the Federal Reserve hiked interest rates by 25 basis points – Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) rose 0.23%, S&P 500 dipped 0.02% and the tech-heavy Nasdaq fell 0.12%.
Asian markets were trading mostly in green – China’s Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.46%, South Korea’s KOSPI jumped 0.79%, Hong Kong’s Hang Seng soared 1.18%, Asia Dow surged 0.97% while Japan’s Nikkei 225 dipped 0.05%.
