Share Market HIGHLIGHTS: Sensex soars 1100 pts, Nifty ends above 17100

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices HIGHLIGHTS: The BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 ended nearly 2% higher on Friday, snapping a seven-day losing streak, as investors cheered the RBI rate hike announcement. The BSE Sensex closed at 57,427, up 1,017 points or 1.8%. The NSE Nifty 50 closed at 17,094, an increase of 276 points or 1.64 percent. Top index gainers included Bharti Airtel, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, Titan Company, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Tata Steel, Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank, and Reliance Industries. Asian Paints, Dr. Reddy’s, ITC, Tech Mahindra, and Hindustan Unilever, on the other hand, limited the index’s losses. The Bank Nifty gained 2.6 percent, or 984 points, to close at 38,631.95.
