Share Market Highlights: Sensex tanks 389 pts, Nifty ends below 18500

Today’s Share Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Price Highlights: Indian benchmark indices ended lower on December 9, with the Nifty hovering around 18,500. The BSE Sensex dropped 389.01 points, or 0.62%, to 62,181.67, while the NSE Nifty 50 fell 112.70 points, or 0.61%, to 18,496.60. Overall, the information technology index fell 3%, while the PSU bank, metal, and real estate indices all fell 1%. However, the FMCG index increased by nearly 1%. Nestle India, Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Titan Company, and Eicher Motors were among the top Nifty losers, while HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Wipro, and Hindalco Industries were among the top gainers. The BSE midcap index fell 0.4%, while the smallcap index fell 1%.
