Share Market News Highlights: Sensex tanks 416 points, Nifty settles below 18,700

Today’s Stock Market News | Sensex, Nifty, and Share Prices Highlights: The Indian benchmark indices BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50 finished in the red, giving up Thursday’s gains. The BSE Sensex closed at 62,868, down 415 points, while the NSE Nifty closed at 18,696, down more than 0.66% points from yesterday’s close. The broader markets ended mixed, but the Nifty Midcap and Nifty Smallcap indices ended 0.6% higher. The Nifty’s sectoral indices all fluctuated between gains and losses. Nifty Oil & Gas finished flat, while Nifty Realty and Nifty Media were the top gainers on the day. The biggest laggards were Nifty Auto and Nifty FMCG.
