Stock Market Highlights:Today Indian equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty50 finished a choppy session mildly higher led by a rebound in financial shares.
Besides, gains in auto and metal shares also pushed the headline indices higher though losses in IT, pharma and consumer stocks limited the upside.
Broader markets also weakened, with the Nifty Midcap 100 declining 0.2 percent for the day.
The Nifty Smallcap 100 fell 0.7 percent. Globally, news updates about the Russia-Ukraine war and rising cases of COVID-19 in China remained on investors’ radar.
