Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: The benchmark equity indices closed the trading session on a lower note on September 05. The BSE Sensex lost 196 points, or 0.24%, to end the day at 82,157. The NSE Nifty 50 finished 55 points, or 0.22% lower, at 25,144.25. However, the Bank Nifty closed at 51,458.50, up 0.11% or 58 points. The Nifty Midcap 100 ended 207.35 points, or 0.35% higher, at 59,431.

Titan, LTIMindtree, Wipro, ITC, and Hero MotoCorp were the top gainers in the Nifty 50. Meanwhile, Reliance Industries, Cipla, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Britannia, and Bharti Airtel were the major losers in the Nifty 50 on September 05.
The Nifty 50 was down 18 points or 0.07% at 25, 180 while the Sensex was down 88 points or 0.11% at 82,265.
The NSE Nifty 50 opened 0.16% higher at 25,239.25, while the BSE Sensex opened 0.15% higher at 82,478.94.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the dollar’s value against a basket of six foreign currencies, was trading up 0.02% at 101.28 on Thursday morning.
US markets closed on a lower note for the second day. The broader market index, the S&P 500 closed 0.16% lower at 5,520.07. Similarly, the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 0.3% to settle at 17,084.30. However, the Dow Jones Industrial Average index gained 38.04 points or 0.09%, to end at 40,974.97.
