Share Market News Today | Sensex, Nifty, Share Prices Highlights: Tuesday’s trading session saw the main equity indices close in the green. The BSE Sensex surged 305.08 points, or 0.42%, to 73,095.22, while the NSE Nifty 50 gained 76.30 points, or 0.34%, to close at 21,198.35. The larger indices concluded the day higher, with gains driven primarily by large- and small-cap equities. At 46,588.05., the Bank Nifty index finished 0.02% or 11.25 points higher. Among the other sectors indices, stocks of PSU banks and the media declined, while those of real estate and automobiles increased.
TCS, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank, Sun Pharma, and Power Grid are the top gainers on NSE Nifty 50 whereas top losers include Bajaj Finance, Here MotoCorp, Divi’s Lab, UPL, and State Bank Of India.
WTI crude prices are trading at $77.71 up by 0.13%, while Brent crude prices are trading at $82.64 down by 0.14%, on Tuesday morning.
The US Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the dollar’s value against a basket of six foreign currencies, traded lower, 0.03% at 103.80.
The equity indices in the US closed in the red. The Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 62.30 points, or 0.16% to 39,069.23. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite declined 0.13% to 15,976.25. While the S&P 500 fell 0.38% to settle at 5,069.53.
