The State administration has set March 31 as the deadline for ‘Subhadra’ applications.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has declared the final date. All applicants who apply by this date will receive a financial benefit in three payments at once.
“On the occasion of Rakhi Purnima, beneficiaries will receive their financial assistance in three instalments at a time,” said Parida.
“The Subhadra Yojana has achieved a milestone by reaching over 1 crore beneficiaries within a span of eight months, ahead of International Women’s Day. The success of the scheme can be attributed to the tireless efforts of grassroots workers, Anganwadi workers, and Bank Mitra personnel. The beneficiaries will receive the funds directly into their bank accounts on March 8,” Parida said.
The Odisha government has announced the fifth stage of the first installment of the Subhadra Yojana. The Chief Minister’s office announced that the fifth phase money will be released on March 6, while the second installment will be credited on March 8, which coincides with International Women’s Day.
The second instalment is projected to benefit over 1 crore people by giving financial assistance to help them achieve economic empowerment. The Odisha government’s main scheme, the Subhadra Yojana, provides direct financial support to women from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Under the initiative, qualifying women aged 21 to 60 earn Rs 50,000 over five years, paid in Rs 10,000 monthly payments. The government has allocated a total budget of Rs 55,825 crore for the implementation of the scheme.
