On October 9, the state government would release the second phase of financial assistance of the first instalment of Subhadra Yojana
Beneficiaries who completed their application process by October 7 will receive their first installment of Rs 5,000, Deputy chief minister Pravati Parida announced today.
The funds would be released by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at a special event in Baripada, Mayurbhanj district, which has the maximum number of Subhadra beneficiaries, she said.
“The chief minister instructed for the early release of the second phase assistance. We have decided to release the second phase money on October 9 on the occasion of Dussehra, which is a significant festival Devi Durga. As many beneficiaries as have registered by October 7, they all will get the assistance. The assistance may be credited to over 40 lakh beneficiaries on that day,” Parida said.
Over 25 lakh recipients received their first installments during the first phase. Parida stated that the second phase would provide support to around 40 lakh women. Parida stated that 96 lakh beneficiaries had registered themselves. At the occasion in Baripada, Chief Minister Majhi will also honour the first and one croreth beneficiaries.
