Tata Curvv EV: Battery specs and range
Tata Motors has announced two battery pack options for the Curvv EV: standard and long range. The former is powered by a 45-kWh battery, whereas the highest model has a 55-kWh one. According to ARAI, the 45-kWh-powered coupe SUV would have a driving range of 502 kilometers on a single charge, while the 55-kWh battery will provide a range of 585 kilometers. Tata Motors announced that based on its internal tests known as C75, the 45 kWh and 55 kWh batteries should return a driving range of 330 km to 350 km and 400 km to 425 km respectively.
The Curvv is built on Tata Motors’ ATLAS design, and both Curvv EV models are powered by a single 167 horsepower motor on the front axle. According to Tata Motors, the Curvv EV accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 kmph.
Tata Motors claims that a 70-kW charger can charge 10 to 80 percent of the battery for up to 40 minutes. If the battery is charged for only 15 minutes, it has a range of up to 150 kilometers. The Curvv EV, like the Punch EV, supports both vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging.
