Tata Motors has introduced the Nexon EV Max, a longer-range version of its popular Nexon electric vehicle, with a starting price of 17.74 lakh and a maximum price of 19.24 lakh (ex showroom). The latest Tata Motors model is powered by a 30 percent larger battery than the Nexon EV.
The Nexon EV Max has an ARAI-certified range of 437 kilometres, which is the distance it can travel under ideal and controlled conditions. It is expected to be able to travel around 300 kilometres on a single charge in real-world conditions.
The new Tata Nexon EV Max can now be charged using either a 3.3 kWh charging unit that comes standard with the vehicle or a 7.2 kWh charging unit that can be purchased separately. Using this more powerful setup, the EV can be fully charged in about six hours.
The Nexon EV Max produces 143 hp as opposed to 136 hp on the Nexon EV. Torque is available at 250 Nm. The top speed has been increased to 140 kmph.
The Tata Nexon EV Max comes standard with an electric sunroof. It is available in two models: XZ+ and XZ+ Lux. Apart from Daytona Grey and Pristine White, the colour options include a new hue called Intensi-teal.
