Tata Motors is currently India’s leading EV manufacturer. The Nexon EV launched the company’s electric journey, followed by electrified versions of the Tigor and Tiago. Tata Motors is now preparing to launch its second electric SUV. The all-new Tata Punch EV is set to hit the market in India next year.
What can we expect from the Tata Punch EV?
The Punch EV will look similar to its ICE counterpart in terms of design. However, some subtle changes may be made for a distinct electrified appeal. The Punch EV will be positioned in the company’s EV portfolio between the Tiago and the Nexon. It will also have more features than the gasoline versions.
Tata Punch EV: Battery and range
The upcoming Tata Punch EV will be the company’s first electric vehicle built on the ALFA platform. It is expected to have a 25 kWh battery pack and a driving range of 250 to 300 kilometers on a single charge. This electric SUV will also be capable of fast charging.
Tata Punch EV Price and Competitors
The new Tata Punch EV is expected to start at Rs 10 lakh ex-showroom. It could be the most affordable electric SUV in the country when it debuts. The Punch EV will not have any direct competitors in the Indian market, but it will compete to some extent with the Nexon EV and the XUV400.
