The much awaited Punch EV has finally been launched by Tata Motors, with prices starting at Rs 10.99 lakh and rising up to Rs 14.49 lakh (both ex-showroom). For a nominal fee of Rs 21,000, bookings for the Punch EV are currently being accepted at authorized Tata Motor showrooms, Tata.ev dealerships, and the company’s website.
The tiny electric SUV is scheduled to be delivered starting on January 22, 2024. The Punch EV is available in five trim levels from the domestic automaker: Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered+. They are separated further into Long Range and Standard versions.
Tata Punch EV design
The all-electric Punch gets a completely redesigned front fascia resonating with the Currv concept and the recently launched Nexon EV facelift. This includes a thin LED strip running across the width of the bonnet and revised front bumper housing new vertically stacked twin-pod LED headlamps and fog lamps. The nose is sealed and the bumper comprises sleek vertical air dams.
The most notable feature is the 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which are the main source of visual continuity between the side profile and silhouette. The design of the back is also mostly comparable to that of its ICE brother, with a sculpted tailgate and wraparound tail lamps with Y-shaped LED elements. The insertion of a fake silver-colored skid plate to the rear bumper is the only modification.
The Tata logo in the middle, which doubles as the charging port inlet, is another distinctive feature. Additionally, there is a helpful storage area beneath the bonnet where you may keep the adapters and charging cables. The subcompact electric crossover from Tata Motors is offered with a black roof and pillars in five different dual-tone color schemes: Pristine White, Fearless Red, Daytona Grey, Seaweed, and Empowered Oxide.
