The new Punch iCNG from Tata Motors has a starting price of Rs 7.10 lakh (ex-showroom). Punch is the fourth model in Tata’s portfolio to receive a CNG adaptation, following Tiago, Tigor, and Altroz. Punch is offered in three trim levels: Pure, Adventure, and Accomplished.
CNG variants might cost up to Rs 1.61 lakh more than standard petrol-powered counterparts. Surprisingly, Tata does not provide a CNG model of the top-spec Creative trim. Furthermore, optional packages will be available for the Punch iCNG Adventure and Accomplished trims.

Punch iCNG is powered by the same 1.2-litre three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine as the normal Punch, which is only available with a five-speed manual transmission. This motor produces 72.4 horsepower and 103 Nm of peak torque while running on CNG. This engine plant produces 85 bhp and 113 Nm of torque in its basic petrol version.
The Punch iCNG, like other CNG vehicles in Tata’s lineup, can be started instantly in CNG mode thanks to a sophisticated single ECU. It inherits Altroz iCNG’s twin-cylinder layout, which permits a big 60-litre CNG tank to be divided into two equal halves. These two cylinders are hidden beneath the boot floor, freeing up more storage space in the boot.
Tata Punch iCNG: New features added
The appearance and contents of the Punch iCNG and ordinary Punch are identical, with the exception of the ‘iCNG’ batches in the former distinguishing itself from the latter. Tata Motors, on the other hand, has added very few features to its vehicles. A voice-activated motorized sunroof, a front seat armrest, a USB C Type charger, and a shark fin antenna are among the features.
Along with the amenities listed above, Tata Motors has added creature comforts such as a tyre pressure monitoring system, Xpress cool, and a one-touch up driver window to the petrol-powered models of the Punch.
