TVS Motor Company has introduced a SmartXonnet TFT Raider variant for Rs. 99,990/- ex-showroom. According to the update, the TVS Raider now has segment-first features like a 5-inch TFT cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, which provides many tech-savvy features for riders like voice control, navigation assist, incoming call controls, image transfer options, and ride reports. It only requires a Bluetooth-enabled helmet. It hopes to appeal to new, coming-of-age Gen-Z buyers by providing a slew of technological updates. The motorcycle has undergone no mechanical modifications.
TVS unveiled the new Raider in the TVS Motoverse’s virtual space, making it the first motorcycle launch in the Metaverse.
The TVS Raider SmartXonnet TFT variant looks similar to the standard model, with its Bumblebee-inspired headlamp and naked styling. The motorcycle will be available in two colors: black and yellow. It retains the same 124.8 cc air & oil-cooled 3V engine as the standard model. The engine produces 24.6bhp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 11.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.9 seconds and has a top speed of 99 km/h. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission, and the bike is outfitted with 17-inch alloy chunky wide tyres.
It has under-seat storage, a side stand indicator with engine inhibitor, a helmet reminder, and a USB charger as well.
Mr. Aniruddha Haldar, Senior Vice President, Commuters, Corporate Brand & Dealer Transformation, TVS Motor Company, commented on the launch and served as the emcee for the digital launch, saying that the TVS Raider, named IMOTY 2022, is entering its next phase with the TVS Raider SmartXonnectTM TFT variant, which takes their commitment to delight and wow their customers a step further. This variant aims to enhance the motorcycle’s allure by including a slew of first-in-class connected features such as a TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, voice assist, and more.
