After receiving candidate requests and opinions, the National Testing Agency and UGC decided to move the UGC-NET from June 16 (Sunday) to June 18, 2024 (Tuesday). The NTA will conduct the UGC-NET in OMR mode across India on a single day. The NTA will shortly publish an official announcement, according to a post on ‘X’ by UGC chairperson M Jagadesh Kumar.
The application procedure has already started, and the deadline to apply is May 10.
Candidates studying a four-year/8-semester bachelor’s degree program and in their last semester/year are also eligible to apply. According to Mamidala, candidates who have completed a four-year or eight-semester bachelor’s degree program must have a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade on a point scale, depending on the grading system.
