The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the schedule for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2024 for the June session. Candidates can view the timetable on the UGC NET’s official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in. According to the notice, the UGC NET June 2024 exam will be retaken between August 21 and September 4 in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
The notice of the city of exam centre will be issued on the NTA website(s) ugcnet.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in 10 days before the exam.
Previously, the exam was administered in pen and paper style on June 18 in two shifts. The timings for the first shift were from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while the second shift began at 3:00 pm till 6:00 pm.
The UGC NET June 2024 was supposedly ‘cancelled’ a day after its completion due to paper leakage charges. The test was held in 317 places across India, and more than 9 lakh candidates took part.
The exam is administered twice a year for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as an assistant professor, and entrance to PhD programs at Indian universities and colleges.
