The European Union’s (EU) emergency macro-financial assistance program’s second tranche of 600 million euros ($634 million) has been delivered to Ukraine, according to the Finance Ministry in Kiev.
“The funds will be used to maintain financial stability in Ukraine during the war,” according to a statement from the Ministry.
According to Xinhua, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal welcomed the assistance and thanked European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for it.
In February, the EU decided to provide Ukraine with 1.2 billion euros in emergency assistance.
In March, Ukraine received 600 million euros from the aid package.
