Another year is drawing to a close, and the automobile industry is riding high thanks to improved consumer confidence, increased production, and the end of the pandemic. Because SUVs are still the most popular segment in India, let’s take a look at some new SUVs that will be available next month.
Jeep Grand Cherokee – November 11
The Grand Cherokee, Jeep’s flagship SUV, will enter the Indian market on November 11th, becoming the brand’s fourth locally assembled model after the Compass, Wrangler, and Meridian. The SUV will come standard with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Jeep Grand Cherokee will have four terrain modes to choose from: Auto, Sport, Mud/Sand, and Snow, as well as a four-wheel-drive system.
Toyota Innova Hycross
Toyota Kirloskar Motor will introduce the Innova Hycross, which will have a naturally aspirated petrol and a petrol-hybrid engine, similar to the Hyryder SUV in India. The 3-row MPV, which is expected to arrive in the second half of November 2022, will be built on a monocoque chassis with a front-wheel drive mechanism. According to an official teaser image that leaked online, the Innova Hycross will be inspired by the brand’s international offerings.
BYD Atto 3
BYD (Build Your Dreams), a Chinese automaker, recently unveiled their latest offering for India, the Atto 3. This electric SUV will be powered by a battery pack with a capacity of 60.48kWh and will have a range of 521 kilometers. It will be powered by a 201bhp peak power and 310Nm torque permanent magnet synchronous electric motor mounted on the front axle.
Pravaig electric SUV
Pravaig, a Bengaluru-based start-up, recently teased its all-new electric SUV, which will be unveiled on November 25. The Pravaig SUV, according to the teaser, has a sharply raked front with flared front fenders, a twin sunroof setup, and an LED light bar running the length of the car. Pravaig claims that its electric SUV has a driving range of more than 500 kilometers and a top speed of more than 200 kilometers. A 0-100kmph acceleration time of 4.3 seconds is promised.
MG Hector facelift
The MG Hector will get a cosmetic update by the end of November 2022, most likely with a new face and a larger grille. The company has also hinted at a new 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system for the new Hector and the possibility of the SUV getting some ADAS features is extremely likely.
