UPSC CSE Prelims Result 2025 Link at upsc.gov.in, upsconline.gov.in: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) revealed the results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) preliminary exam 2025. Candidates who took the UPSC CSE 2025 preliminary test can now check their results status on the official websites upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.
In addition to the UPSC CSE prelims exam result status, the Commission has also released the UPSC Indian Forest Service (prelims) result status. Qualified candidates can provide and update information on the Commission’s website from June 16 to 25, 2025, including payment of the Rs 200 exam fee (except for female/PwBD/SC/ST category candidates); scribe details, assistive devices, and large-font question paper requests; and gazette notification for name changes or discrepancies.
UPSC CSE prelims 2025 marks, cut-off marks, and answer keys will be made available on the Commission’s website – upsc.gov.in – only after the Civil Services Examination, 2025 and Indian Forest Service Examination, 2025 are completed, i.e., after the final results are declared in 2026.
Papers 1 and 2 of the test were administered on May 25, 2025. While the UPSC CSE preliminary paper 1 for general studies began at 9:30 a.m., the paper 2 exam for Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) began at 2:30 p.m. According to students and mentors, the UPSC Prelims 2025 exam was an extremely lengthy paper. This year, 979 positions will be filled as part of the recruitment process.
Last year, the UPSC CSE prelims exam was conducted on June 16 and the results were declared on July 1. In 2023, the UPSC prelims CSE exam was held on May 28 and the result was announced on June 12.
Candidates who score higher than the cut-off marks in the CSE prelims will be eligible to register for the UPSC main examination. The mains will be descriptive and take place over five days beginning August 22.
The UPSC CSE test is divided into three stages: preliminary, mains, and interview. A final merit list is created for individuals who pass the exam and interview with the highest scores.
