Vishwakarma Puja, also known as Vishwakarma Jayanti, is a widely observed festival in eastern India. It is called ‘Devashilpi’ and is celebrated every year on September 17 and the day after Diwali to honor Vishwakarma, the Hindu God of Architecture. He is known as the Divine Architect. Lord Vishwakarma also created a number of divine weapons. On this day, special pujas are held in stores, factories, offices, and other workplaces. Devotees worship Lord Vishwakarma and his elephant “Vahan.”
The festival has a long history of celebrations and significance for the Ancient Hindu God of Engineering and the deity of craftsmen. The date of Vishwakarma Puja 2022 is Saturday, and, like auspicious muhurat timings, it is Sankranti moment that is important in Vishwakarma Puja.
