Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday, claiming that individuals who occupy themselves by doing photo shoots in impoverished people’s huts will find discussions about the underprivileged in Parliament uninteresting.
Modi also took aim at AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, claiming that whereas certain leaders prioritize jacuzzis and beautiful showers, his government prioritizes delivering water to every household.
In response to the Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address in Lok Sabha, Modi stated that the address strengthened the determination of Viksit Bharat and motivated people.
Without mentioning Gandhi, Modi mocked him for his reaction to the President’s message, claiming that individuals who entertain themselves by doing photo shoots in impoverished people’s huts will find discussions about the poor in Parliament uninteresting.
On January 31, just after the President delivered her address to a joint session of Parliament, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, and Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra were observed analyzing the speech in the Parliament complex. During the discussion, Rahul Gandhi was heard asking Sonia Gandhi if the President’s address was “boring”.
Modi thanked the people for allowing him to respond to the President’s Address in Lok Sabha 14 times.
