The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that nighttime temperatures in Odisha will climb by 2-4°C over the next two days due to a Western Disturbance.
On the 19th, the western storm will resume its activity. As a result, the temperature will rise more.
The western disturbance is currently sweeping over the state, providing much-needed reprieve following a recent cold wave that caused temperatures in some parts to drop below zero degrees.
Though this will mitigate the effects of the cold wave, certain places along the state’s north coast may still experience light to moderate fog.
The western disturbance is predicted to strengthen its hold on Odisha, providing reprieve from the chilly wave. As the disturbance intensifies, temperatures are expected to rise, particularly at night, making the nights somewhat warmer.
