The Xavier School of Management (XLRI) in Jamshedpur has extended the online application deadline for the XAT 2026. According to an official announcement, the registration period has been extended until December 11 at midnight. Candidates who have not yet registered for the test can still do so online at xatonline.in.
The XAT 2026 registration procedure began on July 10, this year. To complete their registration. Candidates must complete the online application form, add a recent image, signature, and acceptable ID evidence, choose their desired test cities, and pay the examination fee by the deadline.
To apply, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree of at least three years from a recognised university. Final-year undergraduate students are also permitted to register.
XAT 2026 Registration: Steps to apply
Step 1: Visit the official XAT website at xatonline.in and select the ‘Register’ option.
Step 2: Enter your name, email ID, mobile number and create a password.
Step 3: A verification email will be sent to your registered email ID.
Step 4: Click the verification link in the email and proceed to complete the application form.
Step 5: Fill in the personal, educational and work experience details.
Step 6: Select the programme(s) you wish to apply for.
Step 7: Choose six preferred test cities.
Step 8: Upload scanned copies of your photograph and signature.
Step 9: Pay the application fee.
Step 10: Click ‘Submit’ to complete the application process.
The application process is filling out an online form, attaching the necessary papers (including a current image and signature), and paying the Rs 2,200 registration charge. The XAT 2026 exam will be administered on January 4, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m.
