The Xiaomi 13 series has made its international debut. The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro were first launchedin China in December 2022, and the China-based company is now bringing the devices to global markets. So far, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has been launched in India. According to previous announcements, the Xiaomi 13 series will not be available in the United States, but will be available in the United Kingdom, Europe, and other parts of Asia. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is the’most powerful’ Xiaomi phone to be released in India to date. The phone was recently listed on Amazon and will go on sale next month.
Runs on the most-powerful Android processor
Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers the Xiaomi 13 Pro. It is currently the most powerful Android SoC. The same processor is used in the new flagship phones from Samsung (Galaxy S23 series) and OnePlus (OnePlus 11 Pron). According to Samsung, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipsets that power the Galaxy S23 series have been customized for the phones.
First Xiaomi phone to come with Android 13 out of the box
Xiaomi 13 Pro runs MIUI 14, which is based on the most recent version of Google’s mobile operating system, Android 13. As a result, the phone is the first Xiaomi device to ship with Android 13 out of the box.
First Leica-branded phone from Xiaomi
The Xiaomi 13 series is the company’s first Leica-branded phone. As a result, the camera is the phone’s main selling point.
Xiaomi 13 Pro’s likely price in India
Xiaomi has not yet announced the India price of the phone, but it is likely to be priced above Rs 60,000.
Sports three camera lens at the back
The smartphone sports a significant camera upgrade vis-a-vis its predecessor. It has three rear cameras: a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and Leica’s Floating Lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a single 32MP selfie camera on the front. The camera setup on the back has been designed with the help of camera giant Leica.
Offers 2K screen
The display on the Xiaomi 13 Pro is the same as on its predecessor: a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1440p resolution. The screen includes an ambient color temperature sensor, which adjusts the color temperature based on the environment.
Has premium design
Xiaomi 13 Pro sports a premium finish with an ultra-slim body. The smartphone has a metal frame and a bezel-less display. Other common specs include Dolby Atmos-tuned stereo speakers,
Supports up to 120 Watt charging, and reverse charging
Xiaomi 13 Pro bumps support up to 120W charging. The phone supports 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging. Reverse charging means that the phone can charge other devices as well.
Xiaomi 13 Pro comes with IP68 official rating, which makes it water and dust proof.
Comes in 2 colour options
The Xiaomi 13 Pro will be available in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White, with two memory configurations: 12/256GB and 12/512GB.
